Free Medical Clinic

The Snake River Community Clinic is a non-profit, free medical clinic for people who are uninsured, have a low income, and are not provided for through private insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. They are the “working poor” – the minimum wage worker who is trying to provide food and shelter for their families, but who has no employer-provided health benefits, no money for health insurance, and limited money for medical care. There is no staff available to answer medical questions over the phone. All care will be provided on clinic nights only. Patients are responsible for all expenses related to labs, x-rays, and further referrals, which are not covered under agreements with the clinic.

Open Tuesdays & Thursdays Only!

Limited spots for evening clinic given out at 2pm outside of NCDHD at 215 Tenth Street, Lewiston, ID. YOU MUST GET A SPOT at 2pm in order to be seen in the evening clinic. All patients are seen according to their needs. The most ill patients will be seen first. Your visit is free, and we have several labs and x-rays that are free. However, any services provided outside of the clinic (e.g., referrals, etc.) are not free.


The clinic is not a full-time or emergency clinic. All emergencies should go to a hospital emergency room.

We do NOT provide or write prescriptions for controlled substances. Do NOT ask!

DO NOT ENTER HEALTH DEPARTMENT ON CLINIC BUSINESS from 8am to 5pm.
